I went to Costco today,
First time in a while.
Months, actually.
We'd canceled our membership,
But my mom had a change of heart
And decided to renew it.
I'm proud of her, I missed Costco.
Oh, so much.
It was fun, you know,
That wholesome, Costco fun.
Then I had my mom run into Dick's with me,
My goggles broke and I needed new ones.
I got some, they're blue.
I'm not ready for '09.
I hadn't really thought about it
Before a couple days ago.
I'm not ready.
This year has gone by so fast,
I don't know what it is.
Nothing spectactular happened.
It felt like a continuation of last year.
So I'm ringing in the new year at home.
I don't know if anyone's coming over,
Probably not.
I don't care.
No plans or anything.
That might be one of the reasons why
I wasn't even aware
That the year's almost done.
It snowed today.
2008 finished up with a nice snowstorm.
It was nasty out,
Blustery and cold.
I welcomed the snow though,
I love it.
This year particularly,
I've just really liked snow.
Coming home from Costco
There were all these plows and stuff.
It was great.
So even though I just can't see
How quickly the year dissappeared,
And I miss the Christmas carols on the radio
And I still keep wearing holiday-themed socks,
I guess I'm glad for 2009.
It's been a nice, short year.
Well, um, happy new year!

snow is great.
It hasn't stopped snowing
Since Friday.
I've already taken two walks in it.
One yesterday,
Another today.
It's so gorgeous,
Snow makes everything gorgeous.
Houses that looks so ordinary
Any other day
Really sparkle
When covered in snow.
It's freezing, sure,
But fun.
Simple fun,
Little kid fun.
Children like snow,
Because it's not another
Responsibility,
Not just something you
Have to shovel.
It's not a hassle.
It's new and cold,
And you can run down
The street through it,
Therefore it's great.
By just being there,
This snow has put me in the
Christmas spirit.
You know,
Prancing around, singing along
To my Sarah McLachlan
Christmas album
And happy music in general
And wearing a Santa hat
And watching my mom make
All this cookie dough
For when she feels like baking later.
I feel light and fluffy,
Like marshmallows and confetti.
I'm excited.
Four more days to go.
Since Friday.

They cancelled school today.
Actually, it was more like last night.
Big huge snowstorm.
I wanted school today,
But after swim practice
This girl found a text message on her phone
From her friend
Who said it was cancelled.
I was bummed,
I needed books.
My mom retrieved them for me
When she went to sell concessions
At the basketball game.
I didn't want to go,
I'd rather just chill at home.
Those games are
Never what they're cracked up to be,
Either.
I woke up at 12:30 today.
I went to bed at ten thirty last night.
I must have been spent.
I haven't blogged in a while.
There just hasn't been time,
I haven't been home much.
BUT,
It's vacation.
And I'm going to blog.
I miss it.
I want to take pictures too.
A whole bunch.
I'm excited for Christmas,
I didn't really even want anything this year.
Mostly just socks.
Mine all have holes in them.
A couple CDs, socks, and headphones.
My good headphones broke.
Patrick lent me his
And they work pretty good,
But I want some good ones of my own.
I went to Stop and Shop today,
With mother and father.
It was snowing outside,
Not really bad though.
Swift but gentle,
That dusty kind of snow.
I wanted to rent a movie,
But there wasn't anything good.
Aiight well,
Peace fur now.
